We Are Super-Starfish!

Thursday night my soccer team had a Grillabend and pool party, followed by a night out on the town at a local club called Starfish. Not only did we have some quality team bonding, but I heard some German songs I've never heard before... over and over and over again.

What a bunch of hotties!
At Starfish I actually ran into people from school because it was an "Abilicious" night, which means 16 and up are admitted. Usually it's 18 and up. The club was pretty packed, especially for a Thursday I think, but Friday's German Unity Day and a national holiday.

The Abitur is a test that German students take at the end of their "senior year," hence the "Abilicious" name for a student special night.
As I mentioned before, I heard more German Schlager music (German hits) than I even knew existed. One that I won't be getting out of my head for a while is Atemlos dutch die Nacht by Helene Fischer. They're fun to dance to, especially when everyone is screaming the lyrics together. However, don't plan on finding it on my iPod anytime soon.

And now since it's fall break my host family and I are about to go on an RV road trip adventure! I'm not exactly sure yet where we're going, but we're staying in Germany, probably going south, and where the weather's good. Happy Herbst Ferien everybody!
