Hello! Guten Tag! Thanks for checking out the blog!
I'm a student studying Public Relations and German at the University of Oregon. Ever since I was an eight-year-old dressing up as Abraham Lincoln reciting the Gettysburg Address to my second grade class, I have known I was a born communicator. German came into the picture after I lived in Aachen, Germany for a year, falling in love with the culture, language, and people.
This blog began concurrently with my time in Aachen, a city which happens to be 5000 miles away from my home state of Oregon, hence the original name of "5000 Miles From Home." "Post" was added to the title because I'm writing after the exchange experience and also because each little story told here is a letter of sorts to my friends and family around the world.
