Catching up on some Tom and Jerry. |
PE yesterday made me get a little nostalgic, too. We've just started our dance unit and it totally brought back Judson Middle School flashbacks. Shout out to Mr. Bush and Mrs. Hayward for positive social and line dancing experiences! We're currently making up our own choreography to the song Problem by Ariana Grande. That means yesterday we got to hear Miss Grande's song on repeat for a solid 40 minutes. Where's Boot Scootin' Boogie? Where's some quality Shania Twain? Maybe I'll teach my colleagues some real American line dancing.
Yesterday I also took my first big test at school. The grading here doesn't consist of as many small, graded assignments as we had in US, so the tests are more crucial. As soon as I got the exam paper I was right back in South's Little Theater last May. The tests are just like IB!!! I mean, that makes sense because the curriculum and everything were designed by Europeans, but still, it was actually kind of comforting to have seen similar prompt papers before. I even used an uncannily similar answer book to what we used last May.
This was my Web MD diagnosis during IB testing. |
And on a final, reminiscent note, I got a letter from my mom with some old family photos today. In the spirit of Halloween (which I'll definitely be talking more about later because Germans understand Halloween verrrrrrry differently than Americans), here's an adorable snapshot of Lily's Sixth Halloween:
What a cute little Aschenputtel! |
